FREE TO THE PUBLIC
About This Series
Each session covers the three pillars of Violence Prevention: Situational Awareness, De-escalation, and Defensive Tactics, in an accessible series workshop designed for everyday New Yorkers. One session per borough, running March through July.
Powered by the Dwyer Program Partnership
This series is free to the public, made possible by the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Peer Support Program, funded by the NYC Department of Veterans' Services (DVS).
The Dwyer Program focuses on reducing veteran isolation and suicide risk through social interaction and community building. Veterans and their families are encouraged to participate alongside their neighbors, strengthening NYC through shared service and resilience.
